Flooring Composition: Choosing Your Beautiful Flooring

Solid Wood

Solid wood flooring is crafted from 100% natural solid wood, meticulously cut and finished to create a charming, authentic wooden floor that can last a lifetime. While these floors are sensitive to moisture and heat, making them unsuitable for every room, their durable and hardwearing nature, along with the ability to be sanded, ensures they maintain their beauty year after year. For those looking for alternatives, engineered wood and luxury vinyl tiles offer different benefits, but nothing compares to the timeless appeal of solid wood flooring.

Engineered Wood

Engineered wood features a solid wood top layer supported by a plywood (or HDF) base, offering the authentic classic wood floor look and feel alongside superior stability. This innovative flooring option is less sensitive to moisture and heat, making it suitable for almost any room! Additionally, this structurally sound wood flooring can be paired with under-floor heating, providing even more versatility compared to luxury vinyl tiles or traditional solid wood flooring.

Laminate

Laminate floors provide an impressive authentic look similar to solid wood flooring and stone, all at a fraction of the cost. Utilizing advanced photo technology, laminate is designed with a photo image of wood or stone flooring sandwiched between a protective layer and high-density backing layers. With a stunning array of designs, laminate is incredibly versatile and offers high resistance to splashes and scratches, making it easier to maintain than traditional options like luxury vinyl tiles.

Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT)

Luxury vinyl tiles showcase beautiful effects resembling engineered wood and stone, complemented by embossed textures, grooves, and knots that create a genuinely natural look and feel. These individual tiles are easy to maintain—with just a simple brush or mop—they're also incredibly tough and moisture resistant, making them ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Additionally, luxury vinyl tiles are slip and scratch resistant, durable, and straightforward to install. With excellent sound and heat insulation properties, luxury vinyl tiles ensure you no longer have to endure cold floors, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional solid wood flooring.

Carpet

Carpets are a fantastic way to add a splash of color and softness to a room, complementing other flooring options like engineered wood, luxury vinyl tiles, and solid wood flooring. Carpets can be crafted from various materials, such as wool, polypropylene, or even natural fibers like sisal. The structure comprises a pile with either a gel or action back backing. There are different pile types for carpets: Loop Pile, which is hard wearing; Twist Pile, known for its super softness; Saxony, offering ultra softness and luxury; and Thatched Natural, which is strong and durable. Each pile type creates a unique look and feel underfoot, enhancing the overall atmosphere of your space.

Vinyl

Wipe clean and easy to maintain, luxury vinyl tiles are perfect for areas with moisture, such as bathrooms, or high-traffic zones. With a wide variety of patterns and colors, vinyl flooring offers stylish options that complement any room, making it a great alternative to engineered wood or solid wood flooring.
